About Our Farm...

The Byre is situated on a working farm. We have a flock of 182 ewes, and a herd of 18 suckler cows, of which 9 are pedigree Belted Galloways and 5 are pedigree Dun Galloways. Many of our 'Belties' are very friendly, as we take them to local and not so local shows - come and support us at the shows.

To the left is Zipa, one of the show team.

Our ewes lamb in March and April and at that time we always have a number of pet lambs needing fed. Below you can see a ewe that has just lambed, licking her new lamb dry whilst another ewe shows interest in the newborn.

We have Khaki Campbell ducks, so fresh duck eggs are usually for sale and sometimes we have ducklings.

There are ponies in the field and the stable and a friendly cat and dog live at Low Kirkbride too.
